Woman shot in the leg in northwest Charlotte

A woman in northwest Charlotte was shot in the leg Tuesday morning as she got in her car to take her son to school, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said.

The woman didn’t see the shooter, police said.

The shooting happened on Majestic Meadow Drive.
