Salisbury man shot in stomach by intruders Wednesday

A Salisbury man was flown by medical helicopter to a hospital Wednesday morning after intruders broke into his home, demanded money and then shot him in the stomach, authorities said. The shooting in the 1000 block of Glock Court was not random, as the assailants targeted the victim, the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office said.

A Salisbury man was flown by medical helicopter to a hospital Wednesday morning after intruders broke into his home, demanded money and then shot him in the stomach, authorities said.

The shooting in the 1000 block of Glock Court was not random, as the assailants targeted the victim, the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office said.

The man was shot about 5:30 a.m. EMS paramedics stabilized the victim, who was then flown by AirCare to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. His condition was unavailable later Wednesday morning.
