Salisbury police found a man shot to death in a car that crashed into a fence near North Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue and East Council Street early Saturday.

Larry Lamar Cruse, 27, of Salisbury, was already dead when police said they responded to a call of shots fired at about 3:40 a.m.

Cruse was in a 2006 Chevrolet that hit a wood fence in a side yard in the 200 block of North Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue.

Police encouraged anyone with information about the shooting to call the Salisbury Police Department at 704-638-5333 or Crime Stoppers at 866-639-5245.

Calls can be made anonymously, police said.
