Charlotte-Mecklenburg police investigated two north Charlotte shootings early Saturday.

Even though the shootings happened two miles apart, officers said they were unrelated.

The first shooting happened around 1:30 a.m. on Ventura Way Drive, off Tom Hunter Road. Police said one person was shot. Police haven’t released the victim's condition or what led to the shooting.

Fifteen minutes later, a person was shot on West Craighead Road. That person had minor injuries, police said.

Police have yet to announce any suspects or arrests in the cases.
