A man is recovering after being shot in the back at a home in west Charlotte Sunday morning.

The shooting happened around 12:45 a.m. on Marlowe Avenue, near Wilkinson Boulevard.

Police say they were called to the same home because of a fight an hour and a half earlier. One of the men involved in the fight was later shot. The officers left the scene because no one want to press charges.

The man could be seen walking around and sitting up, but Medic said his injuries were serious, according to WBTV, the Observer’s news partner. He is expected to survive.
