York County deputies charge 14 at underage drinking party

More than a dozen people were detained when deputies busted an underage drinking party over the weekend, according to the York County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to a noise complaint on Sherri Lane in Fort Mill about 11:45 p.m. Saturday, according to Trent Faris, a spokesman for the sheriff’s office. They found an underage drinking party and detained 19 people, 14 of whom were charged with minor consuming alcohol.

The homeowner was out of town at the time, Faris said.
