Lincoln County woman missing for 2 years
Authorities said Tuesday they have exhausted all leads in trying to find a Lincoln County woman last seen in May 2014.
Toasha Nicole Rice, also known as Nikki Green on her Facebook page, was last seen leaving a friend’s home on Eaker Road in western Lincoln County on May 26. She got into a black four-door sedan with a white female driver.
Sheriff’s detectives said they interviewed family members and various people Rice, then 27, was known to associate with, but no one has seen her.
Officers also used a K-9 search team in a large wooded area off Sorrells Baxter Road and Eaker Road in western Lincoln County, around the old Massapoag Mill in Lincolnton and several areas outside Lincoln County.
“We want to locate ‘Nikki’ so that her family can have some formal closure,” sheriff’s Detective Capt. Tim Johnson said Tuesday. “Several of us spent time with her boys and mom at Christmas. They deserve to know where she is, if alive, and need to have a funeral for her if not.”
Rice is white, 5-feet-6 inches tall and 140 pounds.
Anyone with information on Rice’s whereabouts is asked to call the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office at 704-732-9050 or Crime Stoppers at 704-736-8909.
The Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office, Cherryville Police Department and State Bureau of Investigation continue to assist with the case.
