1 killed in wreck near uptown
One person was killed in a traffic crash on the Brookshire Freeway, authorities said.
The collision happened about 8 p.m. near Beatties Ford Road.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police have not identified the person who was killed or released the names or conditions of the other people involved in the wreck.
The intersection was closed late Thursday as investigators tried to determine the cause of the wreck.
