Man shot in head remains in critical condition
Police responding to a “person down” call found a man with a gunshot wound to his head on John Penn Circle near East W.T. Harris Boulevard early Friday.
Gary Bernard Bynum, 34, remained in critical condition at Carolinas Medical Center later Friday, police said.
Bynum was shot about 1:30 a.m., and police were canvassing the area for witnesses.
