2 more arrested in drive-by shooting of 4-year-old girl

Shelby police have arrested a third and fourth suspect in connection with Monday night’s drive-by shooting of a 4-year-old girl. Police also issued arrest warrants for a fifth suspect.

Dozens of bullets were fired into the home of Aryanna Odoms on Toms Street shortly after 11 p.m. One of them hit her, and she was in fair condition Friday at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.

Police have not said why the home was targeted.

They said tips from the community helped them identify suspects in the case.

On Thursday, police announced the arrests of Julian Kyle Jackson and Marquise Santonio Beam, both 24. Each was charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, inflicting serious injury and discharging a firearm into occupied property.

Police also charged Cameron Brett Shrader, 24, with obstruction of justice and accessory after the fact, and Patrick Christopher Rucker, 25, with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, inflicting serious injury and discharging a firearm into occupied property.

Police issued warrants for Robert Lee Strong III, 22, on charges of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, inflicting serious injury and discharging a firearm into occupied property.
