Police said a man who was wanted in Charlotte on attempted murder charges, and who had removed his electronic monitoring device, was found and arrested Sunday in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
Matthew Tolson, 27, was wanted for attempted first-degree murder; assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill; and other charges, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said.
On April 20, Tolson cut off his electronic monitor and was last known to be in the 3200 block of Brixton Court in Charlotte, according to police. Tolson was court-ordered to wear the device as a condition of pre-trial release.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said they coordinated his Sunday arrest with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, that state’s criminal investigative body.
