1 shot by robber in east Charlotte

A robber shot a man multiple times in the back outside an east Charlotte apartment early Friday, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said.

The victim was taken to Carolinas Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The victim was among five people who were robbed about 1:30 a.m. outside an apartment in the 6500 block of Four Seasons Lane, off Farm Pond Lane and Albemarle Road. No other injuries were reported.

Police have not said whether they have a suspect.

In a separate incident, a robber shot a man in the leg shortly before midnight in the 3200 block of Rozzelles Ferry Road in west Charlotte, police said.

The victim was walking near Lakewood Avenue when a man with a handgun demanded money and then shot the victim in the upper thigh, police said. The victim was treated at Carolinas Medical Center for the non-life-threatening injury, police said. No one is in custody, police said.
