$10,000 reward offered in Gander Mountain firearms theft
A $10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest in the theft of firearms Saturday from a Gander Mountain store in Steele Creek.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives announced that its $5,000 reward will be matched by the National Shooting Sports Foundation, the trade association for the firearms industry.
The break-in happened about 6 a.m. at the Gander Mountain at 13610 Hoover Creek Blvd., in the Shops at RiverGate✔ South. Several firearms were stolen.
The ATF and Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department are investigating the theft.
Anyone with information about the case is encouraged to call the ATF at 800-ATF-GUNS (283-4867). All calls will be kept confidential.
