Morganton teenager arrested in child pornography case
A Morganton teenager is accused of uploading inappropriate images of children to the internet.
Hillard Lee Holland, 18, was arrested and charged with first-degree sexual exploitation of a minor after investigators executed a search warrant at his home on July 1, according to the Burke County Sheriff’s Office.
Holland remained jailed Saturday on $100,000 bail. His next court appearance is scheduled for July 26.
Sheriff’s investigators and agents with the State Bureau of Investigation’s computer crimes unit began investigating Holland after receiving a report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The report said inappropriate images were being uploaded from an IP address in Burke County, investigators said.
