Charlotte man charged with murder in case from early May

Police charged a 22-year-old man with first-degree murder in the death of a 24-year-old man in an east Charlotte apartment complex parking lot in early May.

Julian Benjamin Clark is charged in the death of Jamale Hikeem Caple. On May 7, Caple was found shot and killed on the 4400 block of John Penn Circle.

Police said evidence gathered throughout the investigation led detectives to name Clark as the suspect, but no further details were given. On Monday, a warrant was issued for his arrest.
