Hiddenite man arrested on rape charge
A Hiddenite man was arrested and charged in connection with the rape of a 31-year-old woman.
Alexander County sheriff’s investigators charged Anthony Obrian Hill, 46, with second-degree forcible rape. Hill was in the Alexander County Jail on $250,000 bail Wednesday.
Investigators said they received a report of the assault on July 15. Hill was arrested at his home after a rape crisis team met with the victim at the sheriff’s office. The victim was treated and released at Iredell Memorial Hospital in Statesville.
