$10,000 reward offered in 2006 killing of Cherryville man
Authorities hope a reward of up to $10,000 will lead to an arrest in the 2006 shooting death of a 20-year-old Cherryville man.
On July 17, 2006, Timothy Justin Grant’s father reported him missing. A day later, police found the 2000 black Dodge Stratus that Grant was driving. The car was found parked at Ramblewood Apartments in Shelby.
On July 21, 2006, Cleveland County sheriff’s investigators found Grant’s body partially concealed in woods off Selkirk Road in Lawndale. Investigators believe he was shot to death somewhere else.
The Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office, Grant’s family and Crime Stoppers are offering the reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons involved in Grant’s killing.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 704-481-TIPS (8477) or the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office at 704-484-4822 or 704-484-4976. Callers can remain anonymous.
