A man and a woman were shot early Saturday at an apartment complex near Concord Mills, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police. Both victims were taken to Carolinas Medical Center, one with life-threatening injuries.

Officers were called to Ardmore King’s Grant apartments, in the 8200 block of Chesthunt Place Drive, at about 5:30 a.m.

Police said their initial investigation found that the suspected shooter and at least one of the victims knew each other and had been previously dating.

The victims’ identities are being withheld until family members can be notified.
