14-year-old is shot in Grier Heights
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are searching for the shooter of a 14-year-old on Sam Drennan Road, less than a block from Billingsville Elementary School in the Grier Heights community.
The teen was shot about 7 p.m. Tuesday. Medic drove him to Carolinas Medical Center, where he was in serious but stable condition, police said.
Police late Tuesday canvassed the area for witnesses. The Grier Heights community is in southeast Charlotte.
