CMS names Marshall principal of Briarwood Elementary

Beth Anne Marshall, a longtime administrator for Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, was named principal of Briarwood Elementary on Tuesday.

Briarwood was the only CMS school left without a permanent principal as school opened Aug. 29.

Marshall has held a number of jobs with CMS, most recently supervising special education for the Beacon project, which works with several low-performing schools. She has also been a principal in Kannapolis City Schools and a teacher at Queen’s Grant charter school in Matthews.
