Recruiters from about 200 colleges and universities will be in Charlotte on Sunday as the National College Fair comes to town.

The event at the Park Expo and Conference Center off Independence Boulevard will be held between noon and 4 p.m., and will give students the chance to meet one-on-one with both public and private schools from around the country. Registration is available online.

Kim Jones, a career adviser at East Mecklenburg High and former assistant admissions director for Johnson C. Smith University, said students should dress in business casual and bring a copy of their transcript.

She recommended that students make a list of 10 schools they want to meet with, and come up with a list of questions for them ahead of time.
