If you’re planning for spring break of 2019, CMS now has a calendar
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools has an academic calendar for 2018-2019 now, and it’s a blend of one proposal favored by families and one favored by staff.
The school board unanimously approved the hybrid version Tuesday, after more than 9,000 employees, students, parents and other community members weighed in on two options in a March online poll. Highlights of the approved calendar are:
▪ Classes begin on Aug. 27, 2018, and end June 7, 2019, with 177 days for students.
▪ Winter break is Dec. 19 to Jan. 2.
▪ Spring break is April 15-19.
▪ A Sept. 19 teacher work day allows students to observe Yom Kippur.
