Co-principal named for west Charlotte’s Reid Park Academy
Harrison Conyers Jr. has been named a new co-principal of west Charlotte’s Reid Park Academy.
Conyers comes to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools from Gaston County Schools, where he most recently served as principal of Warlick Academy. He spent one year teaching eighth-grade math at Coulwood Elementary in CMS but has spent the bulk of his career in Gaston County.
In his new role, Conyers will share responsibilities with current Reid Park Principal James Garvin. Garvin will primarily work with the elementary school grades, while Conyers will deal with middle school students.
Conyers begins the job in June.
