7,500 weigh in on CMS student assignment in poll’s first week
Almost 7,500 people took Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools’ student assignment poll during the first week it was online, the district reported Friday.
The survey, seeking views about bus rides, diversity, schools close to home, magnet programs and other issues related to student assignment, will remain open through Feb. 22. Anyone who lives in Mecklenburg County is invited to participate.
The school board plans to use results to shape its review of student assignment. The plan calls for making changes this fall for the 2017-18 school year. The survey is available at www.cms.k12.nc.us; look for the link at the top of the page.
