Want to talk money with CMS leaders? Budget meetings coming

Meetings for community members and employees who want to learn more about the 2016-17 Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools budget begin this week.

Superintendent Ann Clark will present a plan in April, but she has begun outlining the scenario and talking about initiatives that might take extra money.

Community engagements meetings are scheduled for 6-7:30 p.m. at these times and places:

Wednesday, South Mecklenburg High, 8900 Park Road.

March 7, Waddell Language Academy, 7030 Nations Ford Road.

March 9, Independence High, 1976 Patriot Drive.
