Time to weigh in on CMS calendar for 2017-18

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools is giving people a chance to weigh in on calendar options for 2017-18.

Two possible schedules are linked from the district’s website, www.cms.k12.nc.us (look under Recent News). Both have students starting classes on Aug. 28, 2017, and ending June 8, 2017. One option has a 10-day winter break while the other has eight days.

Through Wednesday, employees, parents and students can log their preferences and reasons in an online survey. The school board will approve a calendar in May. Ann Doss Helms
