Rocky River High, 2 other CMS schools get new principals

Rocky River High School, McClintock Middle School and Mountain Island Lake Academy got new principals Tuesday.

The appointments were announced at the Charlotte-Mecklenburg school board meeting.

Ericia Turner, currently principal at Statesville Middle School, will lead Rocky River High in Mint Hill. In addition to her work in Iredell-Statesville Schools she has worked for CMS’ Mallard Creek High, Alamance-Burlington Schools and Newton-Conover High.

Mark McHugh, assistant principal at Community House Middle School, becomes principal at McClintock Middle. He has also worked at Providence High, Whitewater Academy and Myers Park High.

Tanya Branham was named principal at Mountain Island Lake, a preK-8 school. She has worked for CMS since 1997 and is currently an assistant principal at Hough High School.
