These 3 neighborhoods are considered among the top places to live in Charlotte
The Charlotte metro area is among the fastest-growing cities in the nation in recent years.
A new study is shedding light on the top neighborhoods in and around the Queen City.
Dilworth, Davidson and uptown came at the top of the list for best places to live, according to Niche’s 2023 Best Places to Live in Charlotte.
To compile the list, Niche -- an online resource that provides information on schools, cities and neighborhoods -- collected and analyzed dozens of factors, including cost of living, diversity, nightlife and crime to determine an area’s ranking.
According to the report, Dilworth, which received an A+ grade, was ranked the best for its public schools, housing, nightlife and being a good area for families.
“Absolutely love this community. Walkable, dog-friendly, super fun and trendy. It is safe and comfortable living in Dilworth,” a Niche review of the neighborhood read.
In comparison, Davidson and uptown, just behind Dilworth on the list, were also highly ranked for housing, diversity and schools.
Davidson was complimented for “a sparse suburban feel” along with a bevy of restaurants, coffee shops and parks.
“Living in Davidson you know almost everyone,” a resident wrote. “Although Davidson has become more popular and developed, it is still a lovely town to be in.”
