If you work in Charlotte, these are the industries that employ the most workers
North Carolina is one of several states struggling the most to hire new workers, with a 6.9% job openings rate. But according to a recent survey from personal finance site Bankrate, half of U.S. workers plan to look for a new job in the next year.
Current labor data reveals what positions workers in the Charlotte area are most likely to hold.
According to The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, office and administrative support roles, like telephone operators, human resource assistants and receptionists, are the most common jobs in the Charlotte-Concord-Gastonia area.
Based on the agency’s data, 156,410 people are employed in this field.
The agency’s most recent Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics report, which provides annual estimates for occupations across the nation calculated data collected from employers in all industry sectors to compile which industries had the most workers.
