Numerous flights were delayed or canceled at Charlotte Douglas International Airport after a Delta Airlines plane landed successfully without landing gear Wednesday morning.

Delta Flight 1092, a Boeing 717 coming from Atlanta, landed at about 9 a.m. and remains on the now-closed runway due to mechanical issues, according to the airport.

Two pilots, three flight attendants, and 96 passengers were on board, Delta said. Nobody was injured.

At 11:15 a.m., 132 flights were delayed, and 26 were canceled, according to FlightAware.

How to check the status of your Charlotte flight

You can download the Charlotte Airport App for free from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store to check the status of your flight, or visit cltairport.com/flights.

To see if your flight was delayed or canceled, click “Flights” at the bottom of the screen.

You can then search for flights by city or airport at the top of the page and filter your results by departures and arrivals using the options underneath the search bar.

Here are some websites you can use and phone numbers to call to check your flight status for specific airlines:

You can also check the status of your flight on FlightAware by searching by flight number, origin, or destination.

What to do if your flight is delayed or canceled

If your flight is delayed, you may be able to switch to a different flight on your airline through its website or mobile app, according to the U.S. Department of Transportation.

You could ask your airline to transfer your ticket to another available seat on a different airline, but airlines are not required to accommodate your request or reimburse you for ticket purchases on another airline, USDOT says.

If your flight is canceled, most airlines will rebook you for free on their next available flight.

If you choose to cancel your trip as a result of a flight cancellation, you are entitled to a refund, even for non-refundable tickets.
