While hiring is expected to slow, companies still have plans to add workers in 2024, Forbes reported.
If you’re looking for a job in Charlotte, there are currently more than 40 job openings for city positions, and some of those positions pay upwards of six figures.
New city employees also receive various benefits, including paid vacation, paid sick leave, medical and life insurance coverage, and more.
Here is a list of city agencies with open positions paying $100,000 annually.
Charlotte Water
Charlotte Water seeks a senior business systems analyst to interact with department stakeholders to define needs, communicate technology changes, and fulfill technology support requests. The analyst will also be responsible for responding to customer requests related to software applications and providing user support on production applications.
The maximum salary for the position is $103,442, according to the job listing.
Applicants must have a high school diploma, and at least five years of relevant experience in business analysis and information technology support.
Innovation & Technology
The City of Charlotte Innovation and Technology Department is seeking a chief data analytics officer to provide enterprise accountability for the organization’s data analytics program.
The position will be responsible for the creation and management of data analytics strategies, and building a high-performing team of data and artificial intelligence professionals.
The maximum salary for the position is $184,928, according to the job listing.
A bachelor’s degree in business administration, information technology, computer science, data science or a related field and seven years of experience, or a masters degree and five years of experience is required for the position.
Planning, Design and Development
The City of Charlotte’s Department of Planning, Design and Development is looking for a division manager to provide leadership and oversight to the Urban Design Center and the Historic District Commission Teams, and provide guidance on large scale projects, such as future transit lines and transformative large development projects.
The maximum salary for the position is $132,023, according to the job listing.
Applicants must have a four-year degree in planning, architecture, geography, landscape architecture, engineering, political science, public administration, social science or a related degree, and eight years of progressively responsible planning and design experience in multiple planning areas.
General services
The City of Charlotte is seeking up to two engineering program managers, which will be responsible for effective and efficient implementation of all assigned transportation projects and other planning and design assignments, as well as management of technical and support staff.
The maximum salary for each position is $114,046, according to the job listing.
Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in engineering and five years of relevant experience, or a masters degree in engineering with three years of related experience. Applicants must also be registered as a professional engineer.
