Hickory Ridge (5-3, 3-1 Greater Metro 4 4A) at Cox Mill (6-2, 3-1), 7:30 p.m. – These teams will break a tie for second place and hope that Mooresville loses in Kannapolis. The game features two quarterbacks averaging well more than 200 passing yards a game – Hickory Ridge’s Caden Hayward and Cox Mill’s Dymere Edwards.

No. 15 Mooresville (7-1, 4-0 Greater Metro 4 4A) at A.L. Brown (5-3, 2-3), 7:30 p.m. – The Blue Devils hit the road for what could be a tough test. They are pulverizing opposing defenses with their ground game, as Jawarn Howell (1,113 yards) and Kyjuan Westmoreland (696) make up a 1-2 punch. A.L. Brown is coming off a 28-0 blanking of South Iredell. The Wonders’ defense has improved in recent weeks, and Xavier Chambers had a pick-six last week. Brown’s main threat on offense is RB Ashnah Lowery.
