Check out one of the biggest competitions in pro fishing at Lake Norman. The Bass Pro Tour championship event and the MLF Outdoor Sports Expo will be held March 10-12. The championship event, REDCREST IV, will feature the 2022 Bass Pro Tour’s top 40 anglers as they vie for the championship trophy and a top prize worth $300,000. The MLF Outdoor Sports Expo will showcase exhibitions and activities for fishing and outdoor fans. Free admission for the expo. 11 a.m.-7 p.m. 2500 E. Independence Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28205.

Start the weekend off with live music at Ghostface Brewing’s inaugural family-friendly concert series, Rock the Lot. Bring your chairs and get your spot to watch rock duo The Hwy perform. 4-7 p.m. Free. 215 S. Broad St., Mooresville, NC 28115.

Get in the St. Paddy’s spirit and check out King Canary’s St. Patrick’s Day Cookie Workshop. During the two hour event, you’ll get to bake and decorate shamrocks, rainbows and other themed sweets. Wednesday, March 15

Stroll through the streets of Davidson and Cornelius with an e-bike tour. On the 90 minute ride, you’ll get to explore the nature and history of the area. Bikes and helmets will be provided. Tickets start at $23. 865 South St., Davidson, NC 28036.

Get ready for spring by making a terrarium in a wine bottle at PlantHouse in Huntersville. The bottles used in this workshop are recycled from across the East Coast. Check out the newly renovated space at Kilted Buffalo in Birkdale Village. The popular pub is now open after a more than month-long facelift. Owners said the plan is to have their patio rebuilt and open by St Patrick’s Day.
