Bank of America says an online glitch that caused some customers to see an inaccurate balance on their accounts Wednesday has been fixed.

Several Twitter users posted about the glitch Wednesday, saying their accounts were showing a $0 balance.

Bank of America Help tweeted in response that clients should check their “individual account view” for the correct balance.

“Some clients may currently see an inaccurate account balance when viewing their account summary in online banking/mobile. Clients should click the individual account view for their correct balance. Client accounts have not been impacted,” the account tweeted.

The issue has since been fixed and “account balances were restored,” Mark Pipitone, a company spokesperson, said in an email to McClatchy News on Wednesday night.

Customer information was still secure during the glitch, Pipitone told McClatchy in an earlier statement Wednesday.

Bank of America had directed concerned clients to other ways they can view their account balance, Pipitone said.

The company is still looking into how many clients were impacted by the glitch.
