One person was killed and two are missing after a boat collided with a barge in Tennessee, news outlets report.

Three people were on the Baja boat when it collided with the barge on the Tennessee River in Decatur County around 9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency said, according to WKRN.

The crash happened around mile marker 171, WSMV reported.

A 57-year-old woman was later found dead, and her body was recovered from the river, the TWRA told WSMV.

Crews are searching for two men who have been missing since the crash, a 20-year-old and an 18-year old, the TWRA said, according to WREG.

Officials are investigating the collision, and no other information had been released as of Sunday, Aug. 7.

The Tennessee River flows 652 miles from near Knoxville “then west across northern Alabama and a small portion of northern Mississippi before turning north to Kentucky where the river discharges into the Ohio River only miles upstream from the Mississippi River,” according to the Georgia River Network.

Decatur County is about 100 miles southwest of Nashville.
