With Lakers trade rumors looming, Russell Westbrook lists California estate for $30M
Even though his time with the Los Angeles Lakers spans just a single season, point guard Russell Westbrook is causing the NBA rumor mill to run wild. That’s thanks to him putting his chic Brentwood estate on the California real estate market for $29.99 million.
According to the Los Angeles Times, Westbrook purchased the six-bedroom, eight-bathroom mansion – which is nearby one of teammate LeBron James’ properties – in 2018 for $19.75 million.
“Boasting some of the highest attention to detail, this is truly a one-of-a-kind estate,” the listing on Hilton & Hyland says. “The floor plan is impeccable; the formal entry, which is an architectural work of art, opens to the formal living and dining rooms which have extravagant doorways, hardwood flooring, large windows, and custom wood moldings and trim.”
Other features across the 13,425-square-foot property include:
Large kitchen
Breakfast room
Wet bar
Fireplace
Formal bar
Wine room
Gym
Movie theater
Outdoor kitchen
Pool
The former MVP added custom features after purchasing the home, which explains the dramatic price jump, Dirt said.
Trade rumors have been circulating during the NBA offseason regarding Westbrook on whether or not he’ll stay with the Lakers or will be traded, Yahoo News reported.
The 33-year-old, who was raised in Los Angeles, was traded to the Lakers in 2021, which was his fourth team in three years, by the Washington Wizards. With the Lakers, Westbrook averaged 18.5 points, 7.4 rebounds and 7.1 assists in 78 games during the 2021-22 season.
The listing is held by Bjorn Farrugia.
