A man was arrested after Kentucky police say he shot his roommate in an argument over the final Hot Pocket in their home.

Clifton Williams, 64, was charged with second-degree assault following the shooting Saturday, May 20, in Louisville, police say.

The victim said Williams “got mad he ate the last Hot Pocket and began throwing tiles at him,” according to the Louisville Metro Police Department. That’s when the roommate attempted to fight back with Williams, police said.

He was starting to leave when Williams went inside the home and got a gun, according to the citation. Williams then shot his roommate in the butt as he was attempting to leave, police said.

The victim got help a few blocks away, police said. He has non-life-threatening injuries, WLKY reported.

Williams was arrested about four hours after the shooting. He remains in Louisville Metro Corrections as of Tuesday.
