Mom gets unbeatable Mother’s Day surprise when scratching SC lottery ticket. ‘Shocked’
A South Carolina mom celebrated Mother’s Day with her family by playing the lottery.
The mom bought tickets at 3 Way Food Mart in Estill and then gathered her family outside to start scratching, she said, according to a June 22 South Carolina Education Lottery news release.
That’s when the mom saw her $200,000 Plu$ The Ca$h! prize, according to officials.
“Everyone was surprised when it happened,” she told officials. “I was shocked.”
The winner told officials she plans to spend her prize money on her family.
“Don’t know if another Mother’s Day can top that one,” she told officials, per the release.
Estill is in the Lowcountry, about 60 miles northwest of Hilton Head.
