Two bodies were found in bushes near a Washington trailhead, deputies said. Now authorities are asking the public for help in finding who killed them.

The two bodies were discovered Nov. 16 at an intersection in Maple Valley, the King County Sheriff’s Office said in a Nov. 20 Facebook post.

They were found near a trailhead but “not the trailhead itself,” authorities told McClatchy News by email Nov. 21.

The King County medical examiner identified them in a Nov. 20 report as 34-year-old Ashley Nichole Williams and Robert Leroy Frederick Riley, 57.

They were both found with gunshot wounds to their chest, according to the report.

Their deaths were ruled as homicides, the report said.

It’s unclear how their bodies got to the area, officials said.

Anyone with information about their deaths can make an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers by the P3 Tips App, or by calling the tip line at 206-263-2090.

A GoFundMe was created for Williams’ funeral expenses. The post says she was a mother of five.

Maple Valley is about 25 mile southeast of Seattle.
