Popeyes puts a ‘golden’ twist on its chicken sandwich. When can you get it?
Popeyes is teasing a new addition to its chicken sandwich lineup.
The golden BBQ chicken sandwich debuted Tuesday, May 7, at participating Popeyes restaurants nationwide, according to the Miami-based chicken chain.
The new offering features a fried chicken breast filet in a “sweet and tangy Golden BBQ sauce” topped with pickles and served on a brioche bun, a product description reads. There’s also a breading-free, blackened version.
Customers can customize with add-ons including Havarti cheese and hickory smoked bacon.
The golden BBQ chicken sandwich is the latest to join Popeye’s menu and will appear alongside the original chicken sandwich and blackened chicken sandwich.
