Lottery player thought he was seeing things after scratching three tickets in Missouri
A Missouri man was left in shock after seeing his prize from a $5 scratch-off ticket.
The man bought three “Full of 500s” tickets at a store in Rolla, according to a May 17 news release from the Missouri Lottery.
“I don’t know what made me go in and choose the particular game,” he told lottery officials. “I just bought three of them and the third one, the last one, was the winner. I didn’t know if I was seeing things.”
The man hit for the game’s top prize of $100,000. After seeing his prize, he calmly left the store, not saying anything.
“I was just amazed and shocked,” he said, per the release.
The man said he plans to use the money on bills.
Rolla is a 110-mile drive southwest of St. Louis.
