Powerball player hits $1 million jackpot. Where was the lucky ticket sold?
A Powerball ticket sold in New Jersey won $1 million and narrowly missed the $29 million jackpot, lottery officials say.
The ticket matched five winning numbers but not the Powerball in the drawing Monday, July 8, the New Jersey Lottery said.
Nobody won the grand prize, which rises to an estimated $41 million, with a cash value of $19.4 million, for the next drawing Wednesday, July 10, according to the national Powerball site.
The winning numbers were 20, 22, 31, 33 and 45, with a Powerball of 1.
The Powerball jackpot has gone unclaimed since the July 3 drawing, when an Ohio player hit the $139.3 million grand prize, lottery officials said.
