Blue Bell’s newest ice cream is a dessert mashup – but it won’t stick around. What to know
Blue Bell is debuting a new ice cream, and it’s already in the freezer aisle.
The limited-edition cookies and cream cheesecake ice cream arrived Thursday, July 11, at select grocery stores, according to the Texas-based creamery.
The dessert mashup features “cheesecake ice cream blended with chocolate cookie crusted cheesecake pieces and chocolate crème-filled cookies,” Blue Bell said in a news release.
“If you love our Cookies ‘n Cream Ice Cream and cheesecake, this is your dream flavor,” Sara Schramm, marketing brand manager for Blue Bell, said in the release.
The new ice cream is available in half-gallon and pint sizes for a limited time, though Blue Bell didn’t say how long it’ll stick around.
Pricing information wasn’t immediately available.
The dessert’s debut comes just days after Blue Bell announced it was bringing back two retired flavors — groom’s cake and cookie cake — after the creations went head-to-head in the “Great Scoop Revival” flavor tournament.
Both will rejoin the flavor lineup in 2025, the creamery said.
Blue Bell also shouted out its new A&W Root Beer Float ice cream, which was announced in May and will be available through next year as well.
