A Pennsylvania man is accused of shooting his stepfather in the doorway of his home a day after the two men got into a physical fight, police said.

Rasheed Horne, 21, of Pittsburgh, turned himself in to police Aug. 4, according to a news release from the Allegheny County Police Department. He is charged with criminal homicide, court records show.

Attorney information for Horne was not included in court records.

Officers responded at about 12:30 p.m. Aug 3 to reports of a shooting, and, upon arrival, found a victim “shot in the doorway” of his Mount Oliver home, police said.

The victim was identified by the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office as 49-year-old Dana Burks.

Court records identify Burks as Horne’s stepfather, WTAE reported.

According to a criminal complaint, police responded to Burks’ residence Aug. 2 on reports of a domestic dispute and found Burks and Horne had got into a physical fight, which sent Horne in the hospital, WPXI reported.

Reports do not say what the fight was about.

Investigators said a doorbell camera captured Horne walking up to the door and telling Burks “Don’t ever in your [expletive] life touch me…” TribLive reported.

The footage also showed the stepson firing six rounds before fleeing, officials told the outlet.

Horne was booked at the Allegheny County Jail, and his bail was denied, court records show.

Mount Oliver is about a 3-mile drive south from Pittsburgh.
