A lottery player bought 30 tickets with the same combination of numbers for one drawing in Virginia.

He ended up with 30 winners.

Patrick Murphy landed a windfall of $136,200 in the Sept. 19 Pick 4 evening drawing, according to the Virginia Lottery.

“I couldn’t believe it,” he told lottery officials.

Murphy won $5,000 each on 24 tickets for which he bet on matching the four numbers in order, and he put a 50/50 bet on six tickets and won $2,700 for each of those, according to the Virginia Lottery.

The odds of matching the four numbers in order are 1 in 10,000, lottery officials said. Murphy’s lucky combination was 2-7-7-0.

The retiree said when he won, he “had to look over and over.”

He bought his tickets at a 7-Eleven in Chesapeake and said he doesn’t have plans for the money right away other than to pay his bills.

Chesapeake is on the North Carolina border near the coast of Virginia.
