A delivery driver is accused of assaulting a McDonald’s employee and stabbing a man during a fight over a canceled order, Tennessee authorities said.

Jackson Lubore, 18, is charged with assault and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, according to Davidson County court records.

His attorney information wasn’t available in court records Oct. 15.

On Oct. 11, Lubore was picking up food at a McDonald’s on Broadway in Nashville, according to an arrest affidavit. He told Nashville police an employee yelled at the Uber Eats drivers to back away from the counter, which made him upset, and they began arguing.

One of the workers canceled his order, and in response Lubore tried to go behind the counter and grab the bag from her, police said after reviewing surveillance footage.

The woman escorted Lubore to the door, at which point he’s seen swinging at her, police said.

Multiple bystanders intervened, and eventually outside the restaurant, Lubore pulled out a pocket knife and stabbed a man in the neck, according to police.

Lubore told police he “was being jumped from multiple people” and feared for his life, leading him to stab a man who he said was punching him in the face, according to the report. Lubore said he intended to stab the man in the shoulder, police said.

Officers reported the man had a “deep cut” on his neck and ear.

Witnesses told police Lubore appeared to be an Uber Eats driver, but Uber said it had no couriers in its system that matched his information. McClatchy News reached out to the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department for clarification.
