A 31-year-old man went missing, and now officials believe they may have found his body, Colorado park rangers said.

Jordan Marsters, of Denver, was traveling through Grand Junction on Feb. 11-12, according to a news release by the National Park Service.

He was reported missing by his family Feb. 15 and had been last seen Feb. 13, officials said.

Now, rangers believe they may have found his body, according to a March 18 news release by the National Park Service.

Rangers and a member of the Black Canyon Search and Rescue Team found human remains in a remote and difficult to access area within the wilderness, officials said.

Due to the location of the remains, officials are working toward recovering them so they can be sent to the medical examiner’s office for identification, officials said.

The National Park Service is in contact with nearby parks that possess “extreme technical skill sets to help with the recovery,” officials said.

Rangers didn’t specify where the remains were located.

The death is believed to have gone unwitnessed but remains under investigation, officials said.

Montrose County is about a 300-mile drive southwest of Denver.
