Deer crashes into bar, sending Missouri worker into a frenzy. ‘Deer love gin too’
A deer crashed through a window of a James Beard Award-nominated bar, causing brief panic for one of its workers.
“Hi little fella. Hi,” a worker is heard saying in the April 9 video as he records the deer trotting through The Gin Room in St. Louis. “Stop! Stop! Stop!”

Natasha Bahrami, who owns the Missouri family-owned business, said the deer was inside the bar for about 10 minutes, according to KSDK.
“Our chef helped it out of the same window. It suffered some minor cuts likely from the broken glass, but we think it should be OK,” Bahrami told the news outlet. “This is definitely one for the record books.”
Luckily, The Gin Room was closed when the deer made its grand entrance, KTVI reported.
Bahrami told KTVI it’s the first time she has seen a deer in the area.
“Turns out, juniper isn’t just for humans. Deer love gin too — they just prefer it served with a side of chaos,” the bar said on Facebook.
The Gin Room was a James Beard Award semifinalist in 2023.
The bar said it is cleaning up the mess the deer left and hopes to reopen soon.
