A sub-contractor at an Utz potato chip factory in Pennsylvania died from a 30 to 34 foot accidental fall, Pennsylvania officials said.

Trever Staten, 34, fell through a skylight at the facility in Hanover on May 2 and landed on a loading dock, the York County Coroner’s Office said in a May 6 news release.

He was taken to a hospital and died of blunt force injuries sustained during the accident, officials said.

The contractor was working with a crew to set up scaffolding so that they could do work on the roof of the building, according to the coroner’s office.

“Trever’s greatest joy was spending time with his kids,” his obituary said. The father of two was a football coach for his son.

“Our hearts go out to the individual’s family, friends, and colleagues during this incredibly difficult time. At this moment, we ask for respect and privacy for those affected,” an Utz spokesperson said in a statement to McClatchy News.

Hanover is about a 120-mile drive southwest from Philadelphia.
