A former corrections officer is accused of engaging in sexual relationships with several inmates, while stealing the identities of others, Pennsylvania officials say.

Kristina Miller, who worked as an officer at State Correctional Institution-Forest now faces felony charges of institutional sexual assault and unlawful use of a computer, Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday said in an Aug. 6 news release.

According to the attorney general, the 35-year-old woman performed sex acts on three inmates from 2020 to 2023.

All three inmates were transferred to different facilities, according to a criminal complaint obtained by ExploreClarion.com. Miller told arresting officers the sexual relationships were consensual.

“Also, while employed, she accessed the prison’s inmate database to obtain personal information which she shared with a co-conspirator to further a financial fraud scheme,” Sunday said.

Miller received personal information — including Social Security numbers — for six inmates who were lodged in the prison on life sentences, ExploreClarion.com reported. Miller was offered a new car in return, the outlet reported, citing the complaint.

In addition to the felony charges, Miller faces misdemeanor counts of conspiracy to commit identity theft and conspiracy to commit theft by deception, according to the attorney general. She was jailed on a $100,000 bond.

“This conduct violated the trust placed in her to protect her community and can undermine the integrity of our correctional institutions,” Sunday said in a statement.

State Correctional Institution-Forest is in Marienville, about a 105-mile drive northeast from Pittsburgh.
